A lakefront melody
The sounds of Lake Taneycomo are your background melody at Whispering Waves, a lakefront vacation home purpose-built for families and groups like yours.
Nestled into the trees, Whispering Waves has lakefront views of Lake Taneycomo and the Ozark beauty of the Branson area.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The neighborhood is wrapping up other houses being built until Spring 2023. This comes with some finishing construction noises during working hours. We have reflected this inconvenience in the quoted rate.
A quick list of the Whispering Waves’s key features:
* 5 bedrooms
* Sleeps 11
* King beds + 1 futon
* En suite bathrooms
* Fully equipped kitchen
* Gaming area with arcades
* Massive covered deck and patio
* Private hot tub
Whispering Waves is a dream for the whole family with no-step access, king beds, and upper deck lake view loungers that will charm your entire group.
The melody of beautiful design that’s both classy and comfy, making your time with friends and family a treat. With two conversation areas to gather: one by the bookcase and one by the electric fireplace. Plus the windows and sliding glass door that lets the natural light pour into the room.
The great room’s open layout leads seamlessly to the dining area and kitchen, making sure that no matter who’s grabbing popcorn from the kitchen, they can still be in the conversation.
The long dining table is perfectly appointed for your whole family, including the custom hand made dining bench, so that you can all sit together for meals and celebrations…or maybe a friendly poker competition.
This kitchen has it all: stoneware place settings, heavy stainless flatware, glasses, mugs, stemware, cooking utensils, pots and pans, baking dishes, crockpot, muffin tins, and cookie sheets.
And there’s more: a dishwasher, side-by-side refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster, drip coffee pot, Kuerig, French press, blender, waffle maker, and a KitchenAid mixer. Start the day with waffles and end it with margaritas on the deck.
Upper deck with loungers and hot tub
The extra large covered patio features a gas grill, patio set for dinner, and a sectional lounger with a backdrop of Lake Taneycomo and an eagle’s nest across the lake on the opposite shore (look for the sycamore tree).
UPPER LEVEL GAMING AREA
The upper level gaming area is a fun spot to enjoy throw-back arcade style games and your own gaming systems on a big screen TV. The futon also folds down for an extra bed, perfect for a teen.
The lakefront melody is best on the deck at Whispering Waves. The massive, covered back deck stretches across the entire side of the house and accessed through two of the upper level bedrooms. It has two loungers, a hanging loveseat, and the private hot tub. Plus the best lake view of the house!
A family dog or two are welcome to come with you, but only with prior approval and a max of two small dogs. You will be required to keep your dog on a leash outside and clean up the poo. There is a $35 per night per dog fee plus tax.
You’ll love the five hotel-inspired king bedrooms at Whispering Waves. Yes, all bedrooms have a king-size bed, all with a top-of-the-line USA-made mattress wrapped in soft linens (which are crisp-white and freshly laundered). Plus, light-blocking shades gift you with a few extra hours of dark for sleeping in.
All bedrooms also have bedside reading lamps and a flat-screen smart TV for streaming Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, Amazon, and more (but no cable in the bedrooms).
All bedrooms have their own en-suite bathroom with a shower. Plus a half bath on the main level. You’ll have plenty of fluffy white towels for your stay, as well as our signature shampoo and conditioner in the showers.
Located on the upper level, you’ll have a stacked washer/dryer set for your use — easy peasy to throw the wet towels and swimsuits in after playing in the hot tub or the neighborhood pool…or the lake!
Baby needs lots of stuff, so we have a few items to lighten your travel load. Whispering Waves has a high chair, a pack-n-play, and an umbrella stroller that you are welcome to use during your stay. (We don’t provide baby blankets or sheets, so be sure to bring those with you.)
You’re welcome to swim off the neighborhood dock if you like cold water (remember the water comes from the bottom of Table Rock Lake, passing through the generators of the dam), bring your kayaks to launch, or relax in a chair with your fishing poles.
The boat slips are not available to use with Whispering Waves, but there is a boat launch nearby.
Big families are our jam! We have one of our own—6 kids between us, plus their significant others, and 3 grandkids—so we know how tough it is to keep the peace as your group size increases. Add in the grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, and those friends who are like family… and you’ve got a ton of people to please.
Whispering Waves isn’t just any vacation home. With amenities like a private hot tub, a covered deck and patio, a large dining space, and a fully equipped kitchen, your family tree branches have plenty of space to claim as their own or have some family chill time.
GETAWAYS WITH FRIENDS
Whether your friends group is couples from your college days, guys golfing and fishing, ladies shopping and winery-hopping, or besties bringing your boats to the lake, Whispering Waves is a perfect place to hang out between adventures.
Insider Info to the Area
We’re happy to share our insider info about where to get a massage, who to choose as a fishing guide, how to avoid the traffic to Silver Dollar City, who to contact for the best tee times, and lots more.
We also share our favorite places to eat, although those recommendations might be a little heavy on BBQ, Mexican, burgers and ice cream.
In fact — we have super duper special partnerships with Fritz’s Adventure and The Haygoods that are ONLY for our guests. (Both savings and serendipity that you can’t get anywhere else!)
We also have example itineraries for families to use while exploring Branson. That includes a list of free and inexpensive activities as well as a list of not-to-miss activities.
Our welcome book and area guide are sent immediately so that you can access it as soon as you make your reservation and throughout your stay at Whispering Waves.
The size of the house was perfect for our group. Skye Retreat is equipped for all needs to accommodate a crowd. The bedrooms are spacious and have blackout curtains, if needed, the kitchen was equipped with double everything so the cooking and cleanup was not a constant as in some places; actually the house was equipped with double of most everything.
The keyless entry was nice so that everyone had access as needed and there was ample parking for multiple cars. The slide was especially loved.
The location of the house is near enough to town to be considered close yet has the feel of being farther away. We even saw the Branson Belle one afternoon on the lake.

Access to Lake Taneycomo is a nearby path between two buildings, takes about 60 seconds or so to get to the neighborhood dock. You are welcome to fish or swim off the dock — but be aware of the cold water!
Yes, there is a swimming pool in the neighborhood that you have access to! It’s an easy walk away, don’t forget to bring your swim towels.
Directly lakefront on Lake Taneycomo, the Blue Pearl is 5 minutes from the Branson Landing and Downtown Branson and no more than 25 minutes from practically anywhere else you want to go in the Branson area, including Silver Dollar City (depending on traffic, of course!).
Our community of Briarwood is on Lakeshore Drive just past Camp Kanakuk, giving you easy access to the traffic relief routes to move about the Branson area easily.
